Chocolate has traditionally been associated with magical, medicinal, and mythical properties. In fact, in Latin, cacao trees are called Theobroma Cacao, or “food of the gods.” In case you were looking for a reason to each chocolate, I gave you three 🙂
In United States approximately 12 pounds of chocolate is eaten by each person every year. Though Switzerland, with 22 pounds chocolate eaten per person each year, tops the list!
And, a little tidbit about myself: I made over10 pounds of chocolate dessert to give away as gifts during the holiday season when I made the above. And it was all gone in no time.
